The man who led the joint Jordanian-Palestinian delegation, Jordan’s foreign minister Kamel Abu- Jaber, is a Christian. The spokesperson for the Palestinian team, Hanan Ashrawi, is a Christian. The press spokesperson for the Palestinians in Madrid was also a Christian. The man who led the Palestinian delegation, Haider Abdul Shafi, is a known leftist; some say that he is a communist.

Meanwhile, the Americans have managed to get a willing Arab stooge as the new UN Secretary-General. Ghali, the Egyptian Minister is not a Muslim but a Christian with a Jewish wife.
