Patna: Ten people, all Dalit and backward caste people, were done to death in two villages of Gaya district on Dec. 23 night.
The massacre took place in Meen and Barsima villages under Belaganj and Tekari police stations.
Though the dead persons in Barsima village have not been identified as yet they were stated to belong to Kumhar, Manjhi and Ravidas castes.
It was all in probability in retaliation to the murder of three Bhumihars a week ago. (Hindu Dec. 25)
