Kashmir Not Part Of India : Us

Islamabad: The US ambassador to Pakistan, Robert Oakley, has said the US rejects India’s claim to its troubled state of Kashmir. Speaking at a seminar on Pakistan-US relations he said, “We do not accept the Indian claim that this is part of India and I dare say if you could get an honest reading of the position of the governments of the Soviet Union and China, you will find out just about the same.” A transcript of his speech was released by the US embassy today.
