Poverty In India and China

In India, 40 crores of people do not have enough to eat. A World Bank survey says China is also a poor country but the “physical quality of the life of the bulk of of the Chinese people is strikingly better than that in India. The adult literacy is 66% for China in 1976. India is 36% (Indian Express Aug.19).
