As already announced the first annual meeting of the Malayalam Dalit Voice readers will be held at Ernakulam on Nov. 11 at the Govt. Law College at 10 a.m. You have agreed to attend the get-together.
Malayalam DV is one year old. But the response to the monthly is very poor. We have been struggling ever since. Our people have been giving only promises and nothing else. The main agenda of the meeting will be to chalk out a practical way-out to keep DV alive.
I am still a college student. I had not taken any support from you. So, some way should be found with your active participation.
We know that bringing out a journal is no joke. It is a superhuman task. But becoming a “leader” is easy. That is why we had repeatedly cautioned you against restarting Malayalam DV. But you were impatient.
Before marrying one should know the consequences of becoming pregnant. You got married against our warning. You are now pregnant.
All over India Dalits are behaving exactly like you. Starting a journal is easy but continuing it without a break is impossible.
The plight of Malayalam DV and also the Dalit movement all over India is one and the same “Sun is setting on the Dalit world”. Did we not say that?
As for readers not paying their dues. It is common. Fifty years of reservation has made them beggars. They want everything free.
If the Dalit-Bahujans don’t want Malayalam DV we will close it. English DV too is sailing in the same boat – EDITOR
