New Delhi: Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Ramdhan will hold an enquiry into allegations that a senior SC officer of the railway police was humiliated by the local police.
Nearly a year ago Maiku Ram, Inspector-General of Police (Railways), who is also the president of the Bihar State SC/ST Employees Association, was treated in a most humiliating manner when he visited the local police station to secure the release of seven persons allegedly confined wrongly at the police station.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, forcibly sent away his official car from the Gardanibagh police station and he was made to walk back. He was also allegedly abused by junior police officers belonging to upper castes. (Hindu Feb. 11).
