Guntur: Revolutionary poet and one-time top leader of the People’s War Group K.G. Satyamurthy, a Dalit, appealed to the PWG activists to give it a thought before destroying government offices. Which class benefitted from these activities, he asked. He condemned the blasting of railway tracks, burning of RTC buses and disturbing the normal civic life. He also condemned the police oppression in northem Telangana villages. Rasool case was a part of it, he observed.
He recalled that he was treated like “Nanadanar” (an untouchable poet) at the last Virasam conference. (Indian Express Jan. 12).
