Bangalore: Small minds writing in India’s “national” toilet papers may describe it as Cavery river water “dispute” between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka that exploded into bloody violence between the two States. But the verdict of great minds, who will tomorrow write the history of India, is that what is going on now is a veritable war between two “nations”, the homogeneous “nation of Tamils” and the loose knit “nation of Karnataka”. The victims of this war and violence are all Dalits on both sides but the engineers of this violence are mostly papans.
Since India is not a “nation” but a group of nations within a single country, what we are now experiencing is the upsurge of the submerged nationalities. The Bangalore papatti ruling TN or the Backward Caste Bangarappa whom the brahminical forces hate, are not its cause. They are just helpless actors in the ongoing tragic trauma of the break-up of India under the stress and strain of its submerged nationalities trying to assert their human rights.
Bid to topple Bangarappa: The Cavery dispute came just handy for one nation to declare a war on the other. Soviet Union broke up and Yugoslavia is breaking fast and India too is showing signs of breaking.
That in this dispute the Bangalore papatti will win was never in doubt – because she is a Brahmin. And a Brahmin does no wrong. The Prime Minister may be in the Congress and the Karnataka CM, Bangarappa, may be also from the same party. So what? But the PM and the Bangalore papatti belong to the same tribe. That is enough.
Upper castes in Karnataka hate Bangarappa. The brahminical press is daily maligning him. They say he is corrupt but the same people have no complaint against the wily R.K. Hegde who was convicted for corruption by several judicial commissions. If you belong to the right jati, you can be corrupt. You can be anything.
Coming back to the “war” between TN and Karnataka, we welcome it despite knowing the fact that the thousands of victims in this war have been all Dalits on both sides. We are aware of it. This can’t be avoided. It has to be like that only.
Such “wars” between nations will increase in days to come and it has to increase because the ruling Aryans find a united India against their interests. A Hindu nazi leader is on an Ekta Yatra (to unite India) without knowing that his own jatwalas are breaking India and our people are victims of violence.
