Lot of controversy has been «raised in DV on the “Three Commandments” of Babasaheb. No doubt, Dr. D.R. Jatav is a great authority on Ambedkar’s. Same thing can be said about Dr. Bhagwan Dass also. But no person, however big a scholar he may be, has any right to make any change, delete, add or even interchange the words in the writings of our savior. Even a coma or semi-colon is very important ‘in his writings. Dr. Ambedkar was a prophet. With our common intelligence if we do not understand today any of his prophecies, we should not change it to brings it down to our level. Instead, we should try to raise our level of intelligence to understand what this I great man said. I fully agree with the views expressed by N.K. Sharma (DV, June 16 ,91, p.21)
writings are in black and white. Why the Ambedkarite who countered the arguments of DV Editor did not scan the writings of Babasaheb for remove their doubts? I am giving the reference where Babasaheb used these three words together. We find these words in Communal Deadlock and a Way to Solve it — Page 357 of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Writings and Speeches — Vol. I. While addressing the annual session of the All-India Scheduled Castes Federation in Bombay on May 6, 1945, he said — “…. we have no money. We have no press. The cruelest of tyrannies and oppressions, to which our people are subjected, day in and day out all over India, are never reported by the press. Even our views on social and political questions are systematically suppressed by an organized conspiracy on the party of the press. We have no funds to maintain a machinery, to render help to our people and to educate, agitate and organize them”.
The sequence is Educate, Agitate and organize I hope all the doubts in the minds of the Ambedkarite are now removed.
