Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir is without any effective organization of Dalit employees. The State bureaucracy is packed with Brahminical imperialists and racists violating the human rights of the oppressed employees. There are many trade unions but Dalits employees do not get any justice from these upper caste unions, in fact, office-bearers of these unions join their racist bosses in persecuting our employees. Hence the urgent need for an effective Ambedkarite union of Dalits employees with the State Govt.
Such a need was badly felt because of a Brahminical attack on an upright, efficient, bold, competent and impartial Dalit IAS officer, Ashok Angarano, Director, School Education, Jammu. The attack took place on May 15.
Wanted a Maiku Ram: A retired teacher identified as Mukund Lal Sharma was said to be the parson who attacked the Director for refusing for illegally appoint his relative. A The police have registered a case against Sharma. Many Dalit and non-Dalit organizations have condemned the attack on Angarano.
A Dalit eyewitness said Sharma abused the Director using his caste name. Dalits are worried that even in this democratic setup. these anti-national forces want Dalit IAS officers to behave like their slaves. Dalits have no leaders to whom they can look up for support. Hence, they are looking for officers Iin, IPS. off who as the President of Bil Dalit employees Assn. has effectively protect the interests of Dalit employees.
