DV message to “Anti-Savarna Fascism Convention“ in Kerala  

To Sridharan Therambil, General Convener, “Anti- Savama Fascist Convention“, P.O. Road,

Trissur-I, Kerala.  

1. Happy to receive your invitation to the Jan. 17 to 19, 1992″ Anti-Savarna Fascist Convention.“

      2 . We are happy that the term “Savarna- Fascism” has become popular in Kerala. We learn that             the term was coined by our esteemed comrades of the Students Islami Movement of India,                 Kerala branch, who were inspired by our work.  

3. “Savarna Fascism” is the correct and the most appropriate name for the brahminical social order which today has taken the name of Hinduism. 
4. In Dalit Voice, we, however, call them “Hindu Nazis” as it sums up the philosophy and action of these anti-nationals and we are happy to say that they have gladly accepted the name. 
5. On behalf of the Dalit Sahitya Akademy and the Dalit Voice, we congratulate you for this bold step of fighting the Hindu nazis. 
6. Since a convention should not be held for the sake of convention, and at has to fulfil certain basic objectives, we propose the following resolution: 

        “The Anti-Savarna Fascism Convention “held in Trichur from Jan. 17 to 19, 1992 calls upon the           Kerala Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Backwards, who are the victims of savarna fascism and             constituting 45% Kerala’s population, that they are the original inhabitants of the state.  

        “They were once the rulers of Kerala and the Invading Aryans usurped their land and positions             and subjugated them.  

       “Hence the convention requests these three communities with a great historical past to declare            themselves as avarnas (Dravidians and non-Hindus) and constitute themselves into a separate          community outside the brahminical social order or Hinduism.  

7. Only if this resolution is passed, your convention can be said to be genuinely Anti- Savarna Fascist Convention. 
8. We are publishing this letter in DV for record – so that the people of Kerala will hail your convention as a turning point in history. 
9. In case you fail to pass this resolution, we will take it that yours is a savarna (Hindu) inspired Anti-Savarna fascist stunt.
