Bangalore: The second All-India Dalit writers Conference will be held here from Dec.25 to 27, 1992. The first one was held at Hyderabad in 1987 and it was inaugurated by Runoko Rashidi, American representative of DV and a noted Black historian.
Bojja Tarakam, President of the Andhra Dalit Mahasabha and convener of the Hyderabad conference, and Deekayya of the Samata Sainik Dal (SSD) will be the general secretaries of the Bangalore conference which will be hosted jointly by the SSD and Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Trust, Hyderabad.
A directory of Dalit writers with over 1,000 addresses will be released on the occasion. Foreign Dalit leaders like Gautam (London), Laxmi Berwa (New York), Yogesh Varhade (Canada) will be invited.
