I think we should refrain from pinning any hopes on Goenka and Co., for spreading Budhism. His entire aim is to separate Vipassana from Budhism and afloat as a separate cult ultimately to be assimilated in Hinduism. one of the older tactics to used in the decline of Budhism in India by Brahminism. You can listen to his programme Urja on Zee TV every Sunday at 11 am (India time). How cleverly he blends Budha’s philosophy with Hinduism/Brahminism. Earlier our misled Ambedkarites realise this, better it is.
