Ban on Mousawi  

Bombay: Acting under the pressure of communal elements, some bureaucrats in the Union Home Ministry have reportedly served an order on Maulana Syed Mohammed Mousawi, spiritual leader of the Shias in India and president of the National Forum for Peace and Integration based in Bombay, not to move out of the city to any other part of the country. The surprise moves of the Home Ministry came in the wake of a meeting of about 50 religious heads of different faiths had with PM (Clarity, May 5).
