Bhubaneswar: The Orissa chief minister, Mr. Biju Patnaik, has threatened Marwaris that they would have to leave Orissa with the same lota and kambal (jug and blanket) with which they had initially come here to do business.
Addressing an election meeting at Rajanpur earlier this week, Mr. Patnaik described the BJP as the party of Marwaris with big money. He accused the business community of backing a party which, he said, was out to threaten the unity and integrity of the nation by arousing communal passions (Telegraph, May 12).
