Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar. A man with a vision. Intolerant of injustice. He was a born revolutionary who fought for equality throughout his life. He called upon the downtrodden people to educate, organise and agitate to secure justice social, economic and political. The road for him was not smooth. Hardship had always been an integral part of his life. And he saw it as a challenge. Having suffered humiliation, he felt one with the trials and the tribulations of his people. He was therefore determined to transform the existing social order.
A self-made man himself, he urged the oppressed classes to be self- reliant and fight for their rights.
Today, on the occasion of his birth centenary, we salute Dr. Ambedkar – the architect of our Constitution. And strive to live up to his ideals.
