A call for unity of all oppressed sections to recover their lost human rights and the reasons why the 85% of the oppressed should do that. The Portugese hatred against Muslims and their atrocities turn-Muslims Into “militant brotherhood”. A Christian professor at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum, writing the “Introduction” to this book praises the author’s “sincerity and dedication”. Deals with the cruelty of the Kerala caste system against the oppressed SC/ST/BCs. Aryanisation of Kerala started in the 7th century with the coming of Namboodiri Brahmins, who propagated the false story of Parasurama. By the 11th century, Kerala became a caste-based society. The Mophla rebellion was caused we by the British who wanted to suppress the Muslims with the support of Brahmin and Nair landlords and middlemen. The non-Malayali Brahmin was inducted into Travancore in the 19th centuary as officers who became more cruel than Namboodiris. Though Nairs, FxQuais and Christians jointly revolted against the Brahmin domination, the Nairs took soo intage of this by compromising with Brahmins. Says just two communities are dominating Kerala today. Over 73% Ezhavas, 75% of Muslims, 87% of SC/ST and 89% of Christian converts come under the category of day labourers and petty traders in Kerala today
Though the book is titled Kerala Muslims, it is of all-India interest.
