My husband, Sardar Sher Singh, dismissed Dalit Sikh IAS officer, will soon complete his book, “Caste system vs. racial discrimination” to support the forthcoming UN conference at Durban. He will compare the Hindu’s holy caste system with the racial discrimination as understood by the UN and the West and find out if the caste system sanctioned by the Hindu religion is at all covered by the racial discrimination as defined by the UN. The caste system is a unique institution in the world preaching the worst form of discrimination, directly hitting the inherent dignity and equality of 3/4 the of the Indian population. What is physical can be banned by law but what is sanctioned by religion and declared as holy, but practicing the worst form of discrimination against mankind, calls for a serious introspection and determined action on the part of the UN. We have already procured all UN resolutions on racial discrimination since its inception. Any Dalit scholar having the latest UN resolution in this regard is requested to supply a copy to me. All the UN resolutions will be appended to our forthcoming book.
