Your decision to close down Dalit Voice by the year- end, as announced in the DV of June 1, 2010 in your Editorial itself, has shocked me. I can fully understand your predicament. I can understand why you are closing down DV. I also don’t like DV closing down. But this time I will not stop you because I know that you are doing this because you have no other choice. You are helpless. So you have no other choice but to close it down – at least temporarily.
But never, ever sell it under any circumstances whatsoever.
Because if you sell the title, my biggest fear is cash- rich Vipassana heroes will sell rubbish under the Dalit Voice brand and fool Dalit Bahujans – using your legacy. That is why you should not sell the Dalit Voice title to anybody at any cost. At least keep the title with you because at some later date, we will be able to use it. But I am sure that all our Brahminical enemies will surely celebrate, drink and dance. Dalit Voice is dead – for now. Serious revolutionaries will weep silently in sorrow. It will be missed very much. Every fortnight, regular readers will miss something which cannot be replaced. Dalit Voice will be no more. Long Live Dalit Voice. Very sad and tragic, but very true. If I can raise some money, then we will see. We can only hope for a silver lining – in this hopeless land run by Aryan Brahmins. In fact, it is a big miracle how Dalit Voice managed to survive for so long. After you close down DV, what will be your next plan? Will you concentrate on writing more books? After all, DV books seem to be selling profitably, right?
