With ref, to DV editorial, “DV serves 3-month notice to nazi naxalite natak companies” (Nov. 191), I have to state the following:
The Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Mysoora Reddy said (Eenadu, Vijayawada, Dec. 21 91) that the total number of those killed by the naxals in the year 1991 was 145. And out of that 19 SCs, 24 STs and 64 BCs.
They were killed in the name of surrenders, police. informers and counter-revolutionaries If we take into account the number of police killed by the naxals, we find many more SC/ST/BCs among the policemen. The upper-caste led APCLC has so far not given the caste-wise details of the Naxals killed by the AP police in take encounters. If it publishes the caste of the naxals, definitely we will find many SC/ST/BCS among dead naxals.
The police top brass are sending mostly Dalit cops to face naxals and the naxal leadership is also offering their dedicated SC/ST/BG youth to the police.
These upper caste police officials and the naxal leadership enjoy the game of brothers tighting brothers. This is the greatness of brahminism.
Is there an end to this game of massacre?
