Congratulations from our members of the Synagogues in Andhra Pradesh. We are happy to see the article of Vijaya Raju (DV March 1, p.6). Our leader, Dr. Rev. MSS Raju, and all of us believe that we Dalits are the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob revealed the fact to Rev. Raju who was worried about the burden of their liberation.
We are about 100 in our synagogue, undergone the circumcision operation as soon as we believed that we are Jews. We hate saying we are Harijans. We say we are Jews. i.e. the lost sheep of house of Israel.
I read Vijaya Raju’s article with your note (DV March 1, p.6). It is my duty to answer your questions as a Rabbi. Hindu system of varna (sanctified racism) consists of four varnas (castes) (1) Brahmana, (2) Kshatriya, (3) Vyshya and (4) Shudra. All the Indians are not part of this varna system. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar has said that Scheduled Tribes and Castes are not Hindus. Dalits, therefore, do not come under the brahminical social order (BSO) because these people are outcastes meaning outside the caste system or panchamas. The Untouchables do not step into the Hindu temples. Brahmin priests are not invited to perform the social or religious ceremonies of Dalits.
Bundle of confusion:- Hindu religion is a bundle of confusion to the Hindus themselves. For instance, their own god, Krishna, belonged to the Yadava tribe which comes under the Backward Castes. They worship this BC god but they don’t take or give their daughters to Yadavas. The Pancha-Pandavas had then married the sister of Krishna, but now they don’t. The SC/STs (Dalits) are the scattered Jews under Diaspora for which reason they are provided with some reservations in the Indian Constitution.
These people are outside the BSO because they refused to be merged or assimilated with the Chaturvarna system.
Hence, all non-Hindus of India must know that they are all “Diaspora Hebrews”, fulfilling the scripture of the Hebrew god who created the entire universe for the salvation of the non-Jews.
The theory of Rev. Dr. MSS Raju of Vijayawada needs all support.
