Anti-Muslim judge for High Court  

Lucknow: The Centre has finally paved the way for the appointment of K.M. Pande as a high court judge. As a district judge of Faizabad. Pande on Feb.1, 1986 delivered the notorious judgment to unlock the gates of Babri Masjid. This judgment had fanned anti-Muslim tension. He retired on March 31, 1990. But since his name was already in the panel and the govt. did not reject his name finally, the claim survived. The decision continued to be deferred.
