Reservation in Private Sector

Yet another hoax is played on the SCs and STs who are cheated enough by the country’s ruling class. When the constitutional reservations are not enforced in the government and public sector itself, a report is put out saying that the Union government “has decided” to extend reservations of jobs to SCs and STs and physically handicapped in private sector through a legislation. The decision is taken on the basis of the recommendations of the Mathew Committee on improving employment services. From the news point of view, the report is of great importance. But barring the Statesman, which prominently published it on the front page, other chose to ignore the news. When the report itself is ignored, can the Dalits hope for anything else?
