Bangalore: The Aryans even while loudly praising Babasaheb to please the Bahujan Samaj are doing everything to silently suppress his burning thoughts. A very striking case has come to light in the papan-dominated local Reserve Bank.
A. Devaraj, Secretary of the RBI SC/ST/Buddhist Employees Assn., Bangalore-2 in a press note says that the black-board carrying quotations from Babasaheb at the entrance to the bank building here was seized by the papan management. The board carried one quotation a day from Babasaheb’s world-famous statements and had become a centre of attraction in the whole area. The press note says P. Govindrajan, Manager of the Bangalore branch of the RBI, took objection to the following quotation:
“If a man with a smile on his lips, and a sword under his armpit were to be called a mahatma, then Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is a mahatma”.
The board was being displayed to educate the Association members as well as many enlightened upper caste RBI staff who had all praise for the work of the Association which helped them read one quotation a day. Besides, the above quotation is a world-famous statement on Gandhi by Babasaheb, taken out from the book, Gandhi & Gandhism, published from Jalandhar.
The fascist papan bosses unable to bear Babasaheb’s burning words shouted at the top leaders of the Association using all sorts of unparliamentary words and seized the board thus proving the anti-Dalit racist behaviour of the management. Dalit employees and even others are missing the Board and Babasaheb words since then.
Only tame animals are slaughtered during yagnas and yagas, The local RBI Dalit employees leaders proved to be lambs and sheep. Hence the racist papans took courage to act. Self-respect is more important than life itself-EDITOR.
