Why DV supported VP 

Some of the supporters of BSP are depicting VP as an Aryan and Kulak and demanding why DV distanced itself from BSP. The answer is simple. BSP aligned itself with Thakur Chandra Shekar, and anti-Mandals. Thousands of DV readers bombarded the Editor of DV then supporting BSP. They demanded an explanation from the Editor regarding BSP’s alliance with anti-Mandals. Then DV editor closed the correspondence on the subject. DV had no option but align with pro-Mandal parties and the National Front. SC/ST/BCs – Indian races in general – detest any dictatorship. They love democrats. They are for a democratic party. Whether it is working or not, RPI is the authentic conscience-keeper of the Indian races called SC/ ST/BCs and oppressed Muslims. People are the better judges. And for the present VP Singh became their idol. So no sane people can oppose VP. Though he failed to get the majority, moral victory belongs to VP.
