DALIT GROUPS LODGE PROTEST
Bangalore: War-mongers of India have been engaged by four respected international organisations to host a world peace conference here. The four-day multi-million-dollar event, called “Vishwa Dharma Simelane” to be held here from Aug. 19 1993, has been already hijacked by India’s tiny ruling upper caste rulers convicted of every human right violation inside the country.
The Bangalore gala will be followed by a festival in Delhi (Aug. 27). This will be preceded by visits to Brahmin temples.
The fear expressed by India’s original inhabitants, comprising over 65% of its 850-million population plus its 20% religious minorities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs & Buddhists), is that this ruling class (15%) is likely to exploit the innocence of the four Western Christian organisations sponsoring the conference, swallow the enormous funds earmarked for the big-budget conference and use the international forum to “advertise to the world its big lie that its Arya dharma, Sanatana dharma, called Hinduism is the country’s “majority religion”. They also fear that this ruling class, which is oppressing and enslaving on one side its 65% indigenous peoples and on the other the 20% religious minorities, may use the conference to mislead the world.
Apartheid in India: To reinforce their argument ¥ they quote the complaint voiced the country’s noted Dalit leader, Bhagwan Das, a Supreme Court Advocate, an Ambedkar and Buddhist leader of Delhi, was shouted down by these Hindu communal n elements when he raised the issue of Hindu sanctify racism that has inflicted the world’s worst form © apartheid on its 20% Untouchables while he was: speaking at the World Council of Religion and Peace(WCRP) at its conference in Australia, a f¢ years back.
Veerendra Hegde, closely associated with the Hindu nazi organisation, and other Hindu nazi delegates ganged up at the conference of the WCRP – one of the four international original stations sponsoring the Bangalore meet — and pounced on Das and uttered the big lie that “there is nothing like Untouchables (or racism) in India as the Constitution has abolished it”.
Das held a press conference in Delhi on h return and cautioned t WCRP and other international peace organisations about “the Hindu nazis who we taking them for a ride.

the Bangalore conference is supposed to be the centenary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda’s ~ ~ historic address to the Parliament of Religions at ‘Chicago. A preparatory meeting was held here in October presided over by Dr. Karan Singh, a former El ruler of princely Kashmir and the founder-president of the “Virat Hindu Simelane” which is also an outfit of the Hindu nazi organisation that killed their own ~ “Father of the nation’ M.K. Gandhi. A person close to the Hindu nazi organisation — and notoriously anti- Western and anti-Christian — has been appointed ~ convener of the Bangalore conference charged with the task of keeping out representation to over 85% of India’s population and religions. This is the biggest – shock. What is the use of entrusting such a peace conference to those who have no faith in peace and justice, they ask.
Representation to Dalits: However, the conference organisers after seeing through the game of these Hindu nazi, who wanted to monopolise the show, are understood to have realised the need to give representation to India’s peace-loving indigenous peoples represented by the Dalits. All the four organisations are noted for their sincere drive for world peace and justice. But their sincerity and concern will be a total waste if they trust the war- mongering ruling class of India, they said.
perhaps, it may be news to these four innocent Western Christian international organisations sponsoring the Bangalore conference that Vivekananda was not a Brahmin ‘but a Bengali Kayasth. Vivekananda’s attack on Brahmins: For passing such severe strictures against the Brahmin priestcraft, they became so furious that the Ramakrishna Mission, of which he was the most famous monk, refused to pay for his trip to Chicago. It was the non-Brahmin ~ Maharajas of Tanjore and Mysore who paid for his Chicago trip.
Dalit organisations point out that those who tormented Vivekananda then are today ] monopolising Vivekananda and are trying to take the organisers of the Bangalore conference for a ride.
