This refers to the article of O. Mahboob Suban in debate column on Jamate-Islam (DV Oct. 1 p.15). The writer has picked up only a few words of the “Quranic verse under reference, which is unfair. The complete verse deals with three points:
1) Hurmat: (here it refers to the agreement among all the Arabs to maintain peace and harmony and provide full security to the pilgrims going to Mecca for Umra in the month of Rajab or for Haj during Zakat, Zillah and Moharram). Quran says that this Hurmat should be enjoyed equally by all. If anyone breaks the agreement, he should be paid in the same coin.
2) Reaction: Muslims need not hesitate or wait for any further clarification in avenging the attackers on such occasions.
3) Precautions: While encountering such attackers the Muslims should remember that the promise of help is only for the “pious” persons.
Before blaming any party for its failure to follow the dictates of Quran, one should note that, as has been declared in point three of the above verse, the promises and advices of Quran are subjected to the “pilosity” of its followers. The piousness of the Muslims of this age, if judged according to Quran, is entirely disappointing.
Hence the Hikmat (forethinking) desires the adoption of principles of the Prophet during his Mecca life where he and his followers were under the domination of others. Till then no Muslim was allowed to retaliate the ill-treatment of non-Muslims of Mecca. Hence the main responsibility of the religious class and parties now, is to bring the masses closer and closer to Quran and the creator. Once this goal is achieved the, “nazis” with all their plans will fall into their own rigged ditches.
On the other hand, if the impious masses are laced with arms and bombs before their moral is built, the riots will change into civil war and thousands will die or suffer daily. Even then the nazis will be safe and the “poor class” and castes – fooled and purchased by the nazi planners – will only die.
We are already seeing in the press the fate of these “poor classes” who refuse or avoid to be a toy in the hands of their masters.
