The Dawlat, the Urdu mouthpiece of the Jamate-Islami (April 1, ’97) published the Jamat’s view on its frontpage as a rejoinder to the Editorial of DV March’ 18, ’97 (“Why Jamate-Islami disobeyed both Koran and Moodie and then surrendered to nazis?”). The Dawlat says that the Jamat has not surrendered and not deviated from the basic tenets of Islam.
But with all respects to the Jamat should I suggest I the Jamat to look into the meaning of a Hadith:
“If you have power, stop oppression wherever you see. If you don’t have the power, say that it is wrong with your tongue. If you don’t have even this much capacity, say it as wrong in your heart.”
The Hadith clearly gives the guidance to every Muslim to stand against oppression whether this oppression is against the Muslims or anybody else.
The Jamat did stand against the oppression in the case of Muslims. But in other cases, mostly concerning Dalits, the Jamat never came out to fight such oppressions.
That means the Jamat obeyed the above-quoted basic tenet of Islam not fully but only partially, thus deviating from the Koran.
DV had warned Moulana Wahid Uddin Khan long back for loyally serving the Aryan vampire (DV Nov. 16, 1996 p.9). Wahid Uddin Khan is a stooge of the Aryan upper caste rulers.
