Bhopal: Chief Minister Uma Bharati of MP has taken three anti-Dalit decisions, says Dainik Bhaskar.
(1) Suspended land distribution among SC/ST landless families, (2) scrapped the Digvijay Singh Govt. decision to give Rs. 70,000 a hectare to those SC/ST families who could not get land as there was no surplus land available, and (3) withdrawn collective fine imposed on 521 persons who had attacked Dalits and destroyed their standing crops. The fine amount was worth Rs. 25.78 lakhs. Most of the accused were BCs resisting distribution of land among Dalits.
