JAIPUR: A Harijan who had unsuccessfully contested the election for the sarpanch’s post in Nedai village, Jaisalmer district, was recently made to wear a garland made out of camel dung by a former jagirdar. This information was given in the Rajasthan Assembly on Feb. 2 by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Brij Sunder Sharma. (Statsman, Feb 24)
