Chandigarh: Sohan Singh, Sikh militant leader and chief of the Panthic Committee, is in India, according to official sources. Dr Sohan Singh was reported to be in Pakistan for the past one year or so. It was believed that he was ill and had been in a hospital at Multan in Pakistan for many months. Dr Sohan Singh, 75, is learnt to have been granted safe passage into India with the consent of Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar. He had been underground since June 1984 immediately after Operation Bluestar. (Statesman, May 23).
