Savita Ambedkar Dead   

Bangalore: Savita Ambedkar (94), the Saraswat Brahmin second wife of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, (called Mai Saheb), died at the JJ Hospital in Bombay on May 29, 2003. She has been undergoing treatment for pneumonia in the government-run hospital’s intensive care unit since April 19. According to Shankarananda Sastri’s book, My Reminiscences, she was held responsible for the death of Babasaheb.
