Yadavrao Joshi, joint general secretary of the RSS, said in Madras on Aug 10 that Prophet Mohammed had said that Islam would vanish in 1,400 years “Our Muslim friends should not hasten the process by reconversion. If Islam reigns the fate of democracy, socialism and secularism is sealed for ever”. He held the rationalists responsible for the destruction of Hinduism. “The sustained vilification campaign against Hinduism by rationalists had destroyed the faith of the Harijans in Hinduism in TN and that paved the way for conversions”, he said.
