Ramanathapuram: Twenty-one Muslim converts belonging to five families in Kooriyur village, near here, re-embraced Hinduism at a ceremony conducted in the village by the RSS and Arya Samaj representatives on Saturday. Almost the entire population of Adi-Dravidas of the village were converted to Islam in 1981 after a communal clash in this district. Some of those reconverted said that they were re-embracing “Hinduism” because they were disillusioned after the conversion. (Hindu, March 18)
