Bangalore: Phoolan Devi, now rotting in the Gwalior jail without any trial, has received another punishment from the Hindu jail authorities. They removed her womb.
“We don’t want Phoolan breeding more Phoolans”, the jail authorities told Mala Sen who wrote the book, “India’s Bandit Queen: The True story of Phoolan Devi”.
Mala Sen says this was an illegal operation which they performed on her without her knowledge. She is convinced that Phoolan is not released because she is an Untouchable.
