Raipur: The police have sealed the bungalow of Father B.E. Gater and Mrs Shaili John Gater, at Sitapur in the Sur Guja district of Madhya Pradesh. The missionaries, living in Sitapur since 1949, were ordered by the state government to leave the country in June 1987, for their alleged incitement of tribals into anti-national activities. The Supreme Court had, however, stayed their externment then. Subsequently, it dismissed an appeal by the missionaries on July 29 and directed the missionaries to leave India by August 31 (Telegraph Dec. 8)
