Bombay: Shiva Lingaiah, a Scheduled Caste retired chief engineer of Karnataka govt. and a prominent Ambedkar running a network of educational institutions including the country’s first Ambedkar Medical College, has joined BJP, P.G. Gavai, IAS, former Chief Secretary to Maharashtra govt. and top BJP leader and convener of the party’s SC/ST wing, has said.
The All-India Dalit Front of the party had beer * activated under the leadership of Bangaru Laxman. The executive includes Kalka Das, MP from Delhi, Hiralal Arya, MLA from Rajasthan, Narayan Kesari, MLA from MP, K. Paswan, MP from Bihar and P. Sonkar, MP from MP, and Gavai.
Dr. Ambedkar equated with RSS founder: The party had elected two SC activists to the Rajya Sabha. They are Sanghamitra Gautam from Lucknow and K. Paswan from Bihar.
Many senior retired govt. officials from the SC/ST/ BCs had joined the BJP. They include Ramlal Berwa of Rajasthan and Shamal Kamal of UP, both retired directors-general of police. In Karnataka, chairmen of two Backward Class Commissions, L.G. Havanur and T. Venkatswamy, also joined BJP.
The Maharashtra BJP chief, NS Paranode, is from the Mali community. Gopinath Mundhe, a Banjara and Anna Dange is a Dhangar.
The BJP was trying to interpret Dr. Ambedkar’s act of conversion as being in conformity with Hinduism rather than acting against it, said Gavai. His party is attempting the convenient comparison of Dr. Ambedkar with Hedgewar, the RSS founder, and Savarkar, the Hindu Mahasabha leader, and are trying to show how all the three tried to create a common Hindu identity by overcoming the bad practices of caste and untouchability, he said. Gavai boasted so many things about the Hindu nazi : party devouring Babasaheb and so many other worms like him, but what he did not say is that the nazi party leadership is in the hands of Brahmins. Perhaps, he was ashamed to say that or the Brahmin reporter did not mention it. Be that as it may, these worms sold themselves to their enemies for petty gains and soon they will be insulted, kicked, abused and spat at.
