The Oct.14 Deeksha ceremony is postponed.
We had applied for the Red Fort ground, and it was denied saying that no one be allowed to use it and this was banned for the first time.
We applied for the Ram Lila Ground much in advance but every time we were told that it would be given to us only, action would be taken just three months before the event.
When we approached the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, we were told that it was given to the Ram Lila Committee though the Ram Lila function of burning Ravana would start only from Oct.17. Yet it was denied. We took up the case in the Delhi High Court, but the judge favoured the Ram Lila Committee.
Under such circumstances, we will organise the Deeksha ceremony on Nov.4, 2001 at the Ram Lila Ground.
