This is very true. You have mentioned about Nehru’s socialism. He was fake. He only spoke of “socialistic pattern of society”. Nobody knows what happened to this slogan. He held political power and it was very easy for him to convert the country to “socialism” but he had no ~ intention to do so. Paul Johnson said (Telegraph April. 161983) that Nehru was a Brahmin of the Brahmins. This is very true. He was anti-Dalit as he did not care to fill in the reservation for the SC/STs but all high posts were filled up with by Nehru’s and Kaul’s and remaining by Brahmins from the other provinces. Nehru was the most orthodox and superstitious man. Babasaheb properly exposed Nehru that he sat at the yajna performed by the brahmins on Aug. 15 1947 to celebrate the event that a brahmin (Nehru) became the first Prime Minister of “free” India. You must expose S.M. Joshi who propagated “Gandhi a socialism”, a very odd ism in India. What has happened to Indian “socialists? Do they not understand socialism? How – Gandhi can be a socialist who was an advocate of capitalism? He advocated that “the rich people are holding property in trust for the benefit of the poor”. The first principle of socialism is equality according to Tawney and Roy Jenkins. Jenkins said in his article on *Equality” in the New Fabian Essays, (Turn tile Press London 1952) that the desire for greater equality has been a part of the inspiration of all socialist thinkers and of all socialist movements. Where there is no egalitarianism, there is no socialism. The absence of the desire for equality means no socialism. Cn Dec.7 92, the South Asian Literary Society arranged a meeting here for the appraisal of the Dalit literature edited by Arjun Dangle of Bombay. There was a reading from the books with appreciation of the Dalit literature which has now surpassed the Brahminic literature in Maharashtra. Brahmins themselves residing here appreciated the Dalit literature and forecast that they will be the future Nobel Prize – winners.
Manoj Yadav, New Delhi: Please highlight in every issue of DV the struggle for the liberation of Bodhgaya temple. Also, please focus on the various Buddhist temples that the Brahminical forces have usurped and converted into Hindu temples. It is said the Kama Koti Pest at Kanchipuram, TN, was actually a Buddhist monastery known as Buddha Palli, and it was that arch-foe of Buddhism, Adi Shankara, who converted it into a brahmin shrine. If so, we must start a movement to liberate these shrines.
Karnataka Samata Sainik Dal leaders during their recent visit for Nagpur interviewed Sasai who led the historic march to liberate Bodhgaya. The interview reveals that Sasai will emerge as a true disciple of Babasaheb Ambedkar and a future hope for all Buddhists. We have decided to publish one item on Sasali in every issue of DV. It attracted the attention of the whole country and the Buddhists outside. On Oct. 14, a big rally was held at the Boat Club, New Delhi, and over 3 lakh Buddhists of India and foreign countries attended it. Dec.6 was the 36th death anniversary of our beloved saviors, Boddhisatva B.R. Ambedkar, and liberator of the downtrodden. On the same day Hindu nazis wounded our hearts by their violent aggression on Babri Masjid. We condemned this action as the nazis have deliberately chosen the day to wound us. Our liberation Dhamma Jyoti Yatra reached Bodhgaya on Oct.22 when the same Hindu nazis made all sorts of false propaganda against us. | had met Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav in Delhi. He promised “Don’t worry, | am asking the district magistrate of Gaya about Mahabodhi Vihar Report and when | get that | will hand over the Mahabodhi Vihar to the Buddhists”. Again | met him on Oct.20 at Patna when | came with my Dhamma Jyoti Yatra procession. He was so happy to receive me. He arranged full protection for us on Oct.22 at Bodhgaya. Newspapers said he would “within ten days hand over the temple to the Buddhist”. After some days he gave another statement extending this deadline. | got a shock and started my second agitation before the Parliament House on Dec. 1. Union Minister Sitaram Kesri addressed us on the behalf of the Govt. of India. As | was doing the satyagraha, the Nazi attack on Babri Masjid took place on Dec.6 – the day on which the Bodh Gaya issue was to be raised in Parliament. Following largescale violence | was pressed by the govt. to call off the agitation which | did. Recently in Taiwan, the World Buddhist Conference was head and, in this conference, they strongly supported our agitation on Bodhgaya. If some Hindus think that the Ambedkarite are terrorists, it means they are murdering democracy. Up to now | have followed the path of Buddha to solve this problem peacefully but from now on, | think, | must follow the Hindu nazi pattern as on Ayodhya. But don’t like to demolish the image of India in other countries just as the Hindu nazis did on Dec.6.
Mrs. Pritam, Ropar Punjab: With ref. to the latest book on the Sikh problem and the bleeding in Punjab (India Commits Suicide) by Dr. G.S. Dhillon of Chandigarh advertised in DV of Oct. 16 1992. How many people can read it because of its high cost, big volume, lack of publicity etc.? Dr. Dhillon must read a booklet, Know the Hindu Mind, by V.T. Rajshekar (DSA). Sikhs are weaker as a team comparatively. That the SGPC is a life-member of DV is good news. But it should increase DV circulation among Sikhs and also bring out translated Punjabi version of the same.
Qurban Ali Zameenzad, New Delhi: | understand that Ahmed Bukhari, the Naib Imam of the Jama Masjid, Delhi, and son of Shahi Imam, has opened a luxurious Mughlai-food restaurant, “Harim’s” in the posh upper caste Hauz Khas locality of New Delhi. If this is true then he deserves to be strongly condemned for catering to the upper caste Hindus rather than diverting his resources to the development of the poor and oppressed Muslims.:

If this is correct, he will be more horrible on Muslims, Blacks and Dalits. Happy news for India’s Aryan brahmins.
Dr. N. Sirajuddin, 454-6th Cross, 8th Main, Vivek Nagar Bangalore-47: Dalits, Muslims, Dalit Christians and Sikhs form the oppressed communities trying to put up a united fight against the Brahminical social order. But the Sikhs have betrayed this cause by joining the Ker Sevak criminals. The photographs appearing on p.129 and 132 of the Frontline (Jan.1 1993) show the Sikhs giving food to the Hindu nazi warriors heading towards the Babri Masjid and those returning after the demolition of the mosque along with other serpents in saffron. This shows that the Sikhs can no longer be trusted by other oppressed. This fact may be brought to the notice of their great leader, Surjeet Singh Mann.
Hindu nazis are noted for all sorts of Natak. They kill Muslims on one side and organize “Hindu – Muslim unity” Natak’s on another side. Delhi papers carry front-page pictures of burqa-clad Muslim women demonstrating before Pakistan Embassy in Deti but those inside the burqa are not Muslim women. They organize mass murder of Dalits inside Punjab and put the blame on Sikh “terrorists”, and their toilet papers give front-page A to such “Sikh crimes”. These Hindu nazis have been staging such dramas from centuries. When M.K. Gandhi, their own “father of the (upper caste) nation” was murdered by a chit Pavan brahmin, the chaddi boys spread rumors saying that Gandhi was murdered by a Muslim and to strengthen this doubt the killer Godse had undergone circumcision. So, we will not be surprised if the chaddi chores with turban and beards pictured in the Frontline posing as Sikhs. Such a drama might have been staged by these antinational to break the growing unity between the Sikhs and Muslims and all other oppressed. Sikhism grew as a revolt against Brahminism and 80% of their religion is borrowed from Islam. Both Muslims and Sikhs are oppressed by the same common enemy. But with all this if some Sikhs, because of their blood relationship with Hindus think they are closer to the Brahminical social order which destroyed the Golden Temple and killed Sant Bhindranwale, then we have to think afresh about the Sikhs. The problem is with non-Dalit Sikhs. The Chandigarh correspondent of the Hindu (Dec.27 92) has answered the question, “Why did not Punjab react?” He says the “Historical and religious differences between the Sikhs and Muslims are still too strong for the former to have taken to the streets in support of the latter’s hurt sentiments over the Babri Masjid”. If this statement is true then Muslims will be fully justified in their fear that in case of a Hindu-Muslim conflict or India-Pakistan war, the Sikhs may side with Hindus. Anyway, we don’t want to come to any conclusion but give one more chance to Sikhs. Would they like to go with the BSO or side with the 85% of the oppressed including the Dalit Sikhs? Will the Sikh leaders answer? – Editor.

Malkani, while defending the textbook writing spree undertaken by the chaddi chores, says: “Until a hundred years ago, Vikramaditya was a household name in India and Ashoka was practically unknown. But history books left out Vikramaditya completely and praised Ashoka to the skies. The reason was obvious. Vikramaditya had driven out the Sethian invaders and Ashoka had gone non-violent. Anyway, the Hindu believes what he wants to believe, Malkani is all praise for what he calls the “Hindu science” (Until now, we thought that science was a common heritage) and has “identified” the villain of the piece at least in the case of the decline of a branch of that science. “Surgery was highly developed in India until Buddhism frowned on the dissection of bodies”. The preferences of Malkani show us whom we should prefer – but when he is standing on his head: “It would be wrong to say that not Aurangzeb alone but even Akbar was not great…. Why do we have to have an obscenity like “Aurangzeb Road” in Delhi? Why cannot we name it after an immortal (sic) like Dara Shiloh?” (Also see DV Oct. 16-31, p.7 and Nov. 1-15: p.19).
Raju Thomas, Madras -23: The Indian Muslim leadership and upper caste Christian leaders are same. They will not revolt against the Aryans. We have given enough warning and advice to the Sikhs, Muslims and Christian leadership and asked them not to trust and depend upon the Aryans. Why are they not listening to the voice of DV and Babasaheb? let is time you hammer them and expose them.
N.K. sonar Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Association of Engineers, 18th Road, Khar, Bombay – 52: We bring to your kind notice two cases of obtaining fake SC/ST certificates and securing admission on reserved quota in engineering colleges. Jayanti Narain bhai from Bhuj joined Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, in ST reserved quota and got the degree in1991. The certificate was issued by the Gujarat State Social Welfare Dept. on the basis of his higher secondary certificate. Harish Gaba got the certificate from Assam and joined the Islamia Institute of Technology, Bangalore, in 1984 (BE civil) and got his degree in 1991.
D.S. Veeraiah, State convener, All-India SC/ST Bank Emp. Confederation, Bangalore: K.B. Krishna Murthy, a Dalit leader and son of the former Chief Justice K. Bheemaiah of Karnataka High Court, deserves special mention. He was responsible for recovering Rs. 13 crores and saving the lives of 15 security men when the Reserve Bank bullion van carrying cash remittance to Pavagada, Tumkur, met with an accident in Pavagada taluk on Sept. 18 1992. He was driving towards Pavagada and was an eye-witness to the accident. Immediately, he rescued them and saved the cash in the boxes by fighting with the huge mob gathered at the accident spot. He conveyed the news of the accident through his Ham radio to the Dy. Inspector-General of Police, Subhas Bharani, and remained there till the police arrived on the spot. This great gesture saved Rs. 13 crores which otherwise would have been looted.
M.G. Jayaprasad: State Bank of India, Karnataka Circle SC/St Emp. Association, Bangalore: We have 250 officers and a staff of 800 but when you came (Dec. 25 92) to address our members the attendance was poor. The Bank has 13 circles all over India comprising 2.501akh employees. All the 12 circles have strong SC/ ST associations except Karnataka where our SC/ST employees are afraid of uniting under our association as the general trade union is threatening our members.
Rama Kant Rao, Hyderabad: P.S. Kamath, a brahmin “intellectual” of the Dept. of Civics and Politics, Bombay University, Bombay, says in his “letter” in the Bombay Times (Dec. 23) that “only when the majority community feels secure, they can take care of the minorities”. How a “majority community” will become insecure? In US, the whites are in a majority and the Blacks are only about 10 to 12% – hence a minority. The Blacks hate the whites because they are the oppressors of Blacks. But have the “majority” whites ever said that they are threatened by the “minority” Blacks and hence insecure? It is the minorities who feel insecure in any country. In India, to quote your statistics, Muslims are 15%, SCs 20%, STs 10% and BCs 35%, Christians 2.5% and Sikhs are 2%. All these six groups have one common oppressor, the Aryans/Hindus/upper castes who are less than 15%. But even this 15% is a divided house, one fighting the other. This is the real cause of their fear. The result is that “Hindus” are a small minority and even in this the Brahmins are less than 5%. This is the secret of the fear.
Ramakrishnan P.K., Bangalore: Gundu Rao, a former brahmin CM of Karnataka, is reported to have boasted after the “Rowdy Raj” was established through their god Rama, that “brahmins will soon rule India”. Before the brahmins think of ruling India, let them first rule (manage) the tiny Indian Airlines in which they only travel. Your predictions on Indian Airlines (DV Dec. 16 92, p.11) have proved right. The latest air crash in Delhi proves that these Brahminical forces can’t manage their own transport. And they think of “ruling India. “Hindu Rashia” has led to “Rowdy Raj”. Please write an editorial on the inauguration of the “Hindu Rashtra” on Dec. 6 1992.
Mohamed Ali Jaferbhai, Bombay: Shobha Bharve, a self-styled social worker, in Dharavi, Bombay, has given a call for house-to-house search for arms as the only solution. This call by a brahmin got quick support in the “Hindu” press and the “Hindu public”. it means in the name of house-to-house search, the “Hindu police” will target only Muslims who will now be deprived of even self-defense also. This is “Hindu Rashtra”. Even in the face of such unprecedented violence our Muslim elite leadership is asking us to restrain. Muslim masses being helpless, the only way-out for us is suicide.
Mohammed Sait, Bangalore: At last, the Muslim Personal Law Board has given a call to the Muslims for self-defense. It “appealed to Muslims not to provoke a confrontation but if attacked to defend themselves and their place of worship” (Hindu, Jan.11). The Koran has ” reference to self-defense at many places and the Editor of DV has been for long urging Muslims to resort to self-defense. DV must come out with a document on self-defense with quotations from Koran as the Muslim leadership has been hiding these references and hence failed at this critical juncture.

We have just 200 books all on Ambedkar’s and other social issues. We want more books. But we have no money. Is anyone ready to help us?
K. Vijayarajau, Vissannapeta, AP-521 215: We need video cassettes of the film, Balak Ambedkar, in all languages for which there is a big demand. These castes will help us a lot to educate the masses. The latest Telugu film by Dr. Padmavathi on Dr, Ambedkar is also very good but there are no video cassettes. The govt. and the film industry have entered into a con spiracy to drown it in the deep sea.
S.S. Yadav, New Delhi: Writing in the Front Line (Jan. 15 1993), R. Champak Lakshmi says that the present so-called Krishna Janmabhoomi at Mathura was actually a Buddhist shrine. It was converted into a Brahminical shrine during the Gupta period, possibly between 4-6 century AD. Bring this fact to the notice of DV readers. We should draw up a comprehensive list of Buddhist shrines usurped by the brahmins. If necessary, we should internationalism this problem and especially try – to mobilize the public opinion in the Buddhist countries of the orient.
Pramod Meshram, Ujjain: We must come under the banner of the Bahujan Samaj Party which is the only all India party of the Bahujan (SC/ST/BCs and minorities). Then only all our problems can be solved by ourselves. We believe in self-govt. But in this regard, DV is not wholeheartedly supporting the BSP but backing the Aryan Janata Dal. The time is fast approaching towards the 21st century and that is the beginning of the “Ambedkar Era”, and the end of the “Gandhian era”. If we actually want to start the “Ambedkar Era”, we should first support the BSP and then only can we manage the political power balance and safely enter the “Ambedkar Era”. Otherwise, we will enter the “Ram Era” consciously or unconsciously.
Sukhdev Raj, Gen. Sec., B.R. Ambedkar Welfare Society Remeasure, Dr. Ambedkar Marg, Jalandhar City-3: 1 have read the arguments for and against the word ‘Dalit’ in DV. We may use the word, Anarya; instead of the Dalit. It conveys the required feelings and meaning i.e. Hindus are Arya and the Anarya is a different nation. They are not part of Hinduism but indigenous people of the land and entirely distinct and different from the alien Aryan culture and civilization. The Aryans and Aaryan’s are opposed to each other in every respect. Then we can be a separate entity.

Promptly / excommunicate your daughter if she marries a non-tribal.” This is the crux of a secret fatwa circulated by enraged tribal leaders in South Bihar districts. Why do these tribal people hate the non-tribals? A State govt. order in 1979 had provided for the preservation of tribal status with all the benefits under the law for tribal girls married to non-tribals without the sanction from their elders. Status quo would be maintained. This resulted in exploitation of the girls by land-hungry people, particularly from UP and North Bihar plains who lured the impoverished tribal girls into matrimony. Christian tribals have challenged the order in Patna High court and decided to take up the matter with the Prime Minister.

The brahmin peshwas under the Maratha kings remained behind the safe positions during wars and made the SC Mahar’s die in the warfront uncared, unaccounted and unnoticed. Subsequently, the brahmins became the jaghirdars, Desai’s, Deshpande’s.

Mrs. Surinder Kaur, Calcutta: “international Charter of Maintenance and restoration of monuments and monumental places”, was adopted by the Second International Congress of Monuments, Architects and Technicians in Venice, on 25-31 May 1964, which “deals with the monument’s protection program me. Since the historic monument of Babri Masjid was demolished on Dec. 6 1992 by Hindu nazi forces. The international community headed by UNO and OIC etc. should take upon itself the task of restoring the Babri Masjid under the Venice Charter, 1964. The President of India should be asked by the UN Secy – Gen. to take over the site of Babri Masjid and the 2.77 acres of land adjoining Babri Masjid, and remove the idol for keeping in safe custody in some museum. Then the entire site should be handed over to the Muslim community to renovate and restore the demolished Babri Masjid by consecrating each and every brick polluted by the infidels, by the recitation of Holy Quran. The President should also be asked to bar the jurisdiction of courts to deal with Babri Masjid complex, by issuing a special ordinance. If these steps are not taken immediately, only the khadi-clad nazis led by the Negi brahmin will be responsible for the bifurcation of the country. The Hindu police and para-military forces have been merrily gunning down Muslims all over the country and 90% of the 1,000 persons killed in police firing were Muslims. Had the police resorted to firing at Ayodhya, and killed 20-30 goondas demolishing the Babri Masjid, these 1,000innocentlives could have been saved. The Muslim psyche has been given a shock from which they will never recover and have faith again in the so-called secular fabric of Indian Constitution, irrespective of the tutored statements issued by some Maulanas. [16 Time is running out. Options are closing. (I) Restore – Babri Masjid site to Muslims for reconstruction by their Kar-seva or (23) get ready for further division of the country.
Sita Ram Yadav, New Delhi: | was shocked to read in the Hindustan Times (Jan. 3) that Syed Shahabuddin has written a letter that the govt. should consider offering to the Muslims a piece of land to the west of where the demolished Babri Masjid stood “to construct a masjid if it so wished”. Shahabuddin has failed to protect the Babri Masjid. He is an opponent of SC/ST/ BC reservations and Mandal Commission. With this call he has become the enemy of the Muslims.
Sunil Goenka, Calcutta: | am a Marwari and a DV reader for five years. | am much influenced by your thoughts. But my relations refuse to even read your paper. When | probed-deep | could make out that their mental make-up is based on hate philosophy. (DV edit Jan 16 1990: “Hate that hate produced”). One example to prove this point. During the recent Babri Masjid anti-Muslim riots here, my uncle, a big wholesale businessman, suffered losses worth Rs. 12 crores. But he said he would not mind suffering double this loss if that would “finish” the Muslims once for all. Such is the “burning hatred in his heart”, But when | asked him to explain the reasons for his hatred he had no convincing explanations. | am reminded of your question: “Can we build a society on hatred?” | am deeply worried.
