S. S. Gif, IAS. Secretary, Minorities Commission, New Delhi: We have your protest on our Commission’s views on the Mandal Commission report on the OBCs. It is being placed before the chairman & other Commission members. We subscribe to DV.
Dr. Barbara R. Joshi, New York: Dr. Laxmi Berwa has been telling me about DV and an American scholar in India. Gail Omvedt, has also been recommending DV for all those interested in dalit affairs. We support your struggle.
J. R. Antwal, Chairman, Federation of All-India SC/ST Employees. P & T Dept.. Bonibay: Of all the articles in DV, your one, “Hinduism vs Untouchables Movment in India”, attracted me very much I admire your deep study of the subject. It is difficult to reform Hinduism. Any religion that divides man & man is a garbage. inhuman. It is by sticking to this oppressive religion the helpless dalits have made their life miserable. But the dalit blood shall not go waste. The tyrants shall repay their debts with compound interest soon. Had Ambedkar got the enlightened dalit society in his life time. Hinduism would have received a crushing blow by this time. We have no other go but to to fight for separate electorate. DV has become a cherished item for dalits here.
Prof. K. J. Parinar, Jamnager: It is a great pleasure to see the steady rise of DV. its reputation spreading even abroad. DV is doing a marvelous service to the dalits & minorities who should now willingly come forward to support it in all the ways.
I. S. Barkw, Central Inst. of Indian Languages, Mysore: DV is doing an excellent work. We got acquainted with a number of dalit problems through DV. I am doing research in the languages of dalits.
Gulam Sarwar. (Ex Minister), Patna: 1 have just returned from a long tour of UK. USA, Canada and during this I have spoken about DV to many foreign friends.
Asghar Ali Engineer. Director, Institute of Islamic Studies, Bombay: We are considering sending a journalists team to Meerut. Dalits are used by the RSS in communal riots. It happened in Delhi twice. They also try to drive a wedge between the two knowing the dangerous implications of the unity between the two. I shall look into this aspect in Meerut.
Fr. T. Franz. St. Phelomena Hospital, Bangalore: You are doing a great job. My sincerest, prayerful congratulations.
Rt. Rev. M. A. Z. Rolston, Ex-General Secretary, National Christian Council of India. Chandigarh: DV has given me an insight into the dalit point of view better than any other publication. Thank you so much.
Fr. Peter Lewis, Nasik: I was always wondering why Kanshi Ram in the North and you in the South cannot work together, Both of you are promoting the same cause Let us be united and be strong.
Amarjit Singh. London: I have read all your books. We want more books. When will your collected works come?
Dr. Parimal Das, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi: I largely share your views. As Dr. Lohla said our declared objective is destroying caste system and ushering in an egalitarian society. Rest assure my fullest cooperation.
M. Kumaran, Nagpur: The articles in DV are becoming so interesting that some orthodox Brahmins also are appreciating for its factual presentation. But the Sarvodaya men hare are more interested in cow protection than in dalits.
