A small section, among the Dalit elites inside India has started a campaign against our “caste identity” thesis at the instigation of their Brahminical bosses. These elites are joined by some, affluent Dalits living in the West with hardly any knowledge of the ground realities in India. These internet walas go on complementing each other and getting kudos from their upper caste admirers.
But these people are out of touch with the thinking of their own blood brothers. So, we are not Bothered about what they say because “caste identity” has been universally accepted and found as the only effective weapon to beat the casteist Hindu rulers. The Parliament election results have proved it. (DV Edit June 16, 2004). We cannot get a better endorsement than the will of the people.
The internet-Wala criticisms, therefore, are like a mosquito
bite on the elephant. The campaign against us received a sudden spurt after the defeat of the casteist Hindutva humbugs at the hands of the caste-conscious Bahujans. The ever-alert Brahminical people have identified us as the force behind pushing the caste theory to kill the casteists. They are deeply worried. But they do not want to directly attack us because they know the danger behind such a move. –
Brahminical criticism against us will get us publicity which they have been systematically denying for fear of making us famous. So, they resorted to their typical sinister method of instigating our own brothers to criticise us.
But both the vaidiks and their camp followers do not know that the “caste identity” thesis has passed all tests, and the enslaved masses have found it as the most practical, inexpensive, readily available and the universally accepted weapon to fight the casteists (Hindus).
Bahujan castes not Hindu: We are using the word “caste” (jati) because everybody knows its meaning, because everybody is born into a caste. But our caste is not the same as the Hindu caste. Our caste is our ethnic identity which the Hindus could never destroy despite centuries of hinduising (enslaving) us. Non-Hindu Bahujans are not Hindu and were never Hindu.
Identity is never destroyed: Brahminical forces (Aryan) brought caste system to India. The pre- Aryan Bahujans (today’s SC/ST/BCs) do not belong to this caste system — which is the other name for Hinduism. Our caste is our ethnic identity. For want of a right word in English we call it caste which is our ethnic identity.
This identity has remained intact despite centuries of economic, industrial, political changes. No religion has been able to destroy the ethnic identity of a people. Nor communism could consume it. So, when we ask our people to strengthen the caste, what we are actually demanding is not to strengthen the caste system but our ethnic identity. All this has been said in our book. (V.T. Rajshekar: Caste — A Nation Within the Nation, Books for Change, 2nd print, 2004).
So, all these are repetitions. We know it. But when our critics are repeating the same songs, ‘we too have to reply with our old songs.
In this issue, we have a series of articles on “caste identity” which should once for all silence our handful of critics. At least after reading this issue, they should become wise and stop dancing to the tune of their Brahminical bosses.
No Bahujan intellectual or leader serving the Brahminical interests has left a mark on the society. He may raise lot of dust but never the level of the people.
Why vaidiks want “Hindu unity”: It does not need a great brain to understand why the Brahminical forces are unanimously singing the song of “Hindu unity”. They have collected billions and billions of dollars from the West to promote “Hindu unity”. Gandhi went on a fast against Dr. Ambedkar’s demand for separate electorate on the plea that such a demand would destroy “Hindu unity”. In the name of “Hindu unity”, Gandhi destroyed the future of Dalits and A the chances of Babasaheb becoming the first prime minister of India.
“Hindu unity” walas made India a beggar nation.
Why do the Brahminical forces (15%) are so much after “Hindu unity”? Because such -a unity will put the Untouchables (20%), Tribals (10%) and Backward Castes (35%) under the foot of the vaidik who can stand on their shoulders and deceive the outside the world and help him claim that he is the tallest man of India. It will also help him to remain in power by pitting SC/ST/ BCs against Muslim/Christian/Sikhs.
“Hindu unity” is not in our interest. Anything which is in the interest of the vaidik forces should be poison to us.
Democracy promoted caste: That is why our, Enemy is deeply worried over the premature death of their Brahmana Jati Party (BJP). Their empire is collapsing under the impact of caste consciousness generated by parliamentary democracy. “Caste identity” is promoted and pushed to the forefront not by DV but by the forces released by the parliamentary democracy. Our critics are unnecessarily giving the credit to us. The vaidiks wanted to destroy democracy itself and replace it with a presidential form of govt. But the Bahujans put their foot down. And the vaidiks failed.
How to fight this enemy has been engaging\l_ our attention for the past three decades and after a good deal of study, discussion, tour of the countryside and personal interaction with the masses, we stumbled upon “caste
