Jharkhand within Bihar

Ranchi: Chief Ministe Laloo Prasad Yadav on Jan. 26 declared that the Chotanagpur and Santhal Parganas districts of South Bihar would be known as Jharkhand and announced that a Jharkhand Vikas Parishad would be set up soon for directing all developmental activities in this region. (Telegraph Jan.28)
