In the aftermath of the dastardly destruction of the Babri masjid, Muslim leaders must wake up and undertake a deep introspection both to understand the reasons for their tragic failure to protect the mosque as well as seriously ponder over the future of the 150-million Muslims in this country.
Islam as a religion can flourish only if the Muslims themselves survive and prosper. The Muslim leadership, especially in UP, has largely concerned itself with what it perceives as purely religious issues. Important as these issues might be, the almost total neglect of the crucial socio-economic problems of the Muslim masses, not to speak of self-defence as provided in the Koran, is one of the main reasons for the very weak bargaining power of the Muslims in India. The feudal North Indian Muslim leadership has a vested interest in ignoring these acute problems of its oppressed co-religionists.
Dalit-Muslim unity: The Dalit movement and the Editor of DV in particular have tirelessly been advocating an alliance of the Muslims with the oppressed SC/ST/BCs. It is only through this grand alliance that the monster of Hindutva as well as the hegemony of the brahminical Congress Party can be effectively challenged and defeated, However, the Muslim feudal leadership has been indifferent to the Dalit-BC Movement.
Elite Muslim fear: Why? The answer is simple. The feudal Muslim leadership, consisting of ivory-tower “moulvis”, dispossessed former landlords and petty shop-keepers are mortally afraid of “lower class” (or lower caste) Muslims challenging their (upper class/caste) total control over the affairs of the Muslim community. The leaders, therefore, seek to portray the Muslims as a single, united monolithic community bereft of any internal caste-class contradictions. They in turn, have to project the “Hindus” as a similar monolith again, a “community” without any internal caste and class divisions, hierarchies, antagonisms and contradictions.
Myth of a minority: For if this elite Muslim leadership were to demolish the myth of a “Hindu majority com- munity” and advocate an alliance of the Muslims with the oppressed Dalits, the upper caste “Hindus” might then argue that if the so-called Hindus are not a single community but a collection of mutually opposed castes, the same applies to the Muslims in safaris caste and class divisions are also present among them albeit in a much lower degree. In such a case, the elite but bankrupt Muslim leadership would lose its leadership over the Muslim masses, and, therefore, it has a vested interest in maintaining the myth of a “Hindu majority” and a “Muslim minority”.
Role of Gandhians: It is this myth of a ‘Hindu majority “which has paved the way for the destruction of the Babri masjid by the Hindu Nazis. Fascist Hindutva is the inevitable product of the myth of “Hindu” majoritarianism which has been jointly woven by the elite Muslim leadership, the brahminical fascists and by the equally brahminical Congress Party, assisted also by the Gandhians and even by some upper casts’ “communists”. The upper caste Hindu minority (The DV Editor has been repeatedly pleading that Hindus are less than 15% of our population and hence a minority) obviously has a vested interest in promoting the myth of a “Hindu majority community”. This minority employs the logic of majoritarian democracy to legitimize its own unjust hegemony over the SC/ST/BCs by projecting its own values and interests as those of the so-called Hindu community. Brahminical fascism: The bankrupt Muslim leadership and the brahminical fascists have an implicit agreement to accept each other as the leaders and spokesmen of their respective “communities” – a classic case of “you scratch my back and I will scratch yours” pragmatism. This is essentially why the feudal Muslim leaders refuse to align themselves with sections opposed to brahminism, even though it is obvious to all that brahminical fascism masquerading as Hindutva poses a menacing threat even to the Muslim masses, besides SC/ST/BCs.
Hindu-Muslim unity Impossible: On the other hand, up to Dec. 6 1992. the Muslim leadership had all along been singing the praises of “Hindu- Muslim unity” (thereby further strengthening the hollow myth of a unified monolithic Hindu majority community, transcending caste and antagonisms).
Islam is North Pole and Hinduism is South Pole. How then can be Hindu-Muslim unity?
Praising Rama & Krishna: Muslim writers, in a bid to sound more ‘Hindu’ than the Brahmins themselves, wrote profusely on how some isolated Muslim saints and poets had colorized Rama and other brahminical deities. Pact Inbal’s sharp critique of Brahminism was conveniently ignored, and his poem describing Rama as the Imam-e-Hind” (the Imam of India) was profusely quoted. All this was done by elite Muslims to appease the brahminical fascists by projecting themselves as the greatest devotes of the brahminicel Rama cull. But all this flattering of the brahminical fascists by the Muslim elite was a total waste once the domes of the glorious Babri Masjid came crashing down.
Wanted shudra status: This bankrupt Muslim leadership welcomes the “Hindu Rashtra” or “Ram Rajya”, as did Moulana Maudie, founder of the Jamate-Islami. We leave them to stew in their own juice. It is possible that the popes of brahminism might accord them the status of Mechchas. The Miechcha Greeks and Say thins in the past were “promoted” to the position of Rajput’s by the Brahmins and perhaps the elite Muslims are hankering after such a status.
Anti-human Rama ?: But we, the oppressed Muslims and SC/ST/BCs solemnly declare that we are bom loss of Hindutva and of the Ram Rajya of both the Congressed-Gandhian and Hindutva brands, for we have been the greatest victims for centuries of the caste system, of which the anti-woman,anti-human Rama is considered to be the most staunch upholder and defender (Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, Riddles of Rama and Krishna, DSA 1987). Who can forget the inhuman atrocity of the murder of the shurdra Shambuka by Rama merely because the former aspired to ascend to the heavens? Truly, Ram Rajya Is merely another name for brahman Raj.
The Muslim leadership could have (but consciously choose not to) pointed out that Rama and Rama Rajya could spell doom not only for the Muslim masses but also for the vast majority of the population- the victims of brahminism- the SC/ST/ BCs and women. Nay, even Hindus Instead, it sought to flatter the Hindu nazis by singing the praise of Rama.
Temples of oppression: Similarly, the bankrupt Muslim leadership could have (but chose not to) pointed out that a temple, whether of Rama or of any other brahmnical deity, has traditionally been a symbol of the oppression of the so-called “lower” castes.
Dr. Ambedkar on Rama: It could have (but did not) appeal to the SC/ ST/BCs that constructing a Fama temple would have been yet another assertion of brahminical supremacy and shudre slavery. It could have (but did not) appeal to the Dalits and Dravidians to recall what Dr. Ambedkar and Periyar EVA had written and done to oppose the brahminical cult of Rama.
Instead, however, the Muslim leadership preferred to tie itself up in the sterile debate over where, how, why and when a Rama temple should be built at Ayodhya, and in endless worthless argument about a fictitious temple that the brahminical fascists contend existed at the spot occupied by the now-destroyed Babri Masjid.
Temples of brahminism: The op pressed Muslims emphatically as
sort: Temple have been and still are the abodes of brahminism. SC/ST/ BCs, who built magnificent temples by their sweat and toil, are prohibited by the “Hindu’ scriptures from enter
Ing them. Temple priests must belong to the Brahmin caste and knowledge of the so-called “scriptures” is reserved only for them. All the self- respecting SC/ST/BCs declare that they have nothing to do with these dens of vice, gross superstition and brahminical priestcraft. If such temples were destroyed in the past, such action served in a way to deliver as symbolic blow to brahminical tyranny. They neither can condemn the alleged destruction of such dens of brahminism in the past nor do they want their construction or reconstruction in the present or in the future.
Blood bath; The Muslim masses fully agree with this assessment.
But as for the Muslim elite, who do not realize their folly in flattering the brahminical forces in both the Congress Party and in the satanic “Sangh Parivar”, we are firmly convinced that unless they mend their ways and unite with the oppressed SC/ ST/BCs blood bath, the monster of Hindutva, abetted by the brahminical Congress Party, will soon devour them even before they can come to their senses.
Awake, Muslim leaders, before it is too late. DV has already warmed you. Stop this un-Islamic pouring of milk to the serpent and start self-defence as directed by the Koran.
