Bangalore: DV readers may remember that we were the first in India, if not the world itself, to welcome the Gulf War (1991) and hail Saddam Hussein. (DV Edit Feb.16, 1991: “Gulf war is war of the rich against poor: Will imperialism, racism, zionism get a drubbing? Everybody predicted that before the world’s mightiest power, US, Saddam would sink in three days at the most but the Gulf War the “mother of all wars” – dragged on and finally ended in a big military victory for Saddam (DV March 16, 95 p.3: “Salute to Saddam” American army, airforce and navy ate dust in the “Desert storm”.
The entire White Western world, and its obedient servant, India’s Aryan brahminical forces, were against Saddam. But he fought single-handedly. How did he then win against the whole set of satanic forces? Because he had the blessings of the world’s oppressed, the Muslims, Blacks, and India’s Black Untouchables, etc. The US later applied economic sanctions. Having failed in that, it bribed Saddam’s son-in-law and engineered his defection and spread the rumour of a palace coup in Iraq. All proved false. In last month’s referendum, Saddam got a 99.96% endorsement from his people.
Saddam proved to the world that defence might, economic power, media manipulation is no power before the will of the people.
DV proved right again.
