As regards the DV Debate on the “Slow death of Sikhism”, | welcome this debate. However, | differs with the title of your Debate. | don’t differ with you academically but on historical grounds. The Sikh faith has seen far worst period since its inception in 1469. However, in today’s world | must agree with your perception that the way the Sikh weaklings (gurdwara executives tight-lipped, Sikh academics depending on UGC doles and many more brahminical forces have joined hands to undermine Sikhism. For example, bombarding the minds of primary, middle and high school Sikh children that they are Hindu without saying that “Hindus are neither a religion or a culture”. The followers of the Hindu Mahasabha (mother of all evils), its many offshoots like BJP etc. are out to get the Sikhs at any cost. Earlier in the late 20th and early 20th centuries Arya Samaj and its founder, Dayanand, tried to humiliate the Sikhs but it was of no avail because of the forceful rebuttal of Giani Gurdit Singh (commonly known as Giani Dit Singh). Today, | do not see any Giani Gurdit Singh in the “dead Akalis and their dead factions {Badal, Talwandi, Simranijit Mann)”.
Yes, based on the present state of the Sikh weaklings, you are right that the “Sikhism is dying its slow death”. However, the followers of Guru Granth, Guru Khalsa Panth, the Sikh way of life dreamers of Sikh nation disagree with your Debate because the Sikhs will fight until their last breath. However, the days of the mentally, morally and ethically bankrupt jathedars, joe-boys and joe-girls, Sikh members of the Hindu parliament which are under the tight control of RAW and RAW’s master, NDA, are numbered. They cannot fool the Guru Khalsa Panth for very long. | should make it clear that those who please the NDA virtually devoid of the Sikh traditions and worshippers of the political power, will disappear in an overnight. No doubt the Sikh faith is going through highly tough times, but these times are not going to stay forever.
