Editorial: RSS also Turning Hypocritical?
Dalits and persecuted minorities in India have two types of enemies – an open enemy and a concealed enemy. The Hindu Nazis, defending their caste and persecuting Untouchables, according to their Vedas, are our open enemies, Whereas the concealed enemy is coming to us disguised as our friend, describing themselves as Marxist, Socialist etc. to kill us with their kindness. Lately, the open enemy (RSS) is also concealing its colour to confuse and confound the Dalits. The awakening among Dalits has made the Hindus to give up their outdated Vedic weapons. The RSS leopard, which honestly believed in its Bible- Bunch of Thoughts – is trying to change its spots to befriend the lamb. As Indira Gandhi is getting popular among Hindus with her socialist mantra, the RSS is trying to move closer to her. However, the “conservatives” like Nanji Deshmukh wanted to stick to Golwalkar’s line which has rejected by Babasaheb Deoras who has sacked Nanji as the editor-in-chief of the Organiser, the official journal of the RSS, for refusing to support Mrs. Gandhi who has proved a better saviour of Hinduism. Nnaji is sent away to hills to Hindus the tribe and Untouchables. RSS leaders want to support Mrs. Gandhi whereas the cadres, who are punished during the Emergency, are angry with the leaders who have started flirting with Mrs. Gandhi. Some honest workers openly say that as long as the Champaran Brahmins are leaders of the RSS, it will have no future. Deoras and co. think that a “socialist brahmin” image can fool the Dalits and BCs better than the “vedic brahmin” image. A 3-day workshop of 200 RSS leaders decided to step up efforts “to love” Untouchables and tribals who are fast slipping out of Hinduism. This development poses a danger to Dalits to identify tool enemies. Threatened by the increasing conversion trend, RSS has stepped up the wooing of Untouchables and tribals in a big way. Hindu nazis use “reservation” as a stick to keep the Untouchables within the Hindu fold by denying them reservation If they convert to Christianity – Islam. Yet, Untouchables are slipping out of Hindu fold. The Hindu worry Is natural. Because the escape of Untouchable will destroy the Hindu pyramid and those sitting at Its top would be the worst his. It is this fear which made the RSS to join hands with others to “save” Hinduism by “loving” Untouchables who are not Hindus. Hence their “love” is not sincere. In the name of the “Harijan uplift” they swindle millions of rupees and get enough publicity in the willing “national press”. Besides, RSS also has long-range objectives to (0) spend Miwoks of rupees to Hindus SC/ST. At the same time their reservation schemes are to be scuttled. (10) Recruit “Hindu BCs’ into RSS and sharpen the antagonism between Dalits and BCs, (II) Scuttling the Mandal Report (iv) Hindus Dalits/tribals to fight Muslims (v) Fanning language conflicts.
