Doubts about Feb. poll in Punjab  

New Delhi: President of the Akali Dal Simranjit Singh Mann on Dec.2 said he had no faith left in this Government. His party would participate in the electoral process in the State only if the United Nations and the five permanent members of the Security Council stood guarantee that the polls would be held. The Government had deprived the State people of an elected Government since 1987 and he was not convinced that polls would be held by Feb. 15. (The Hindu Dec. 3)
