Aurangabad: Some 5000 Dalits, led by long-march leader, Jogendra Kawade on July 27 courted arrested here as part of their jail bharo agitation to protest against the State Government’s failure’ to rename Marathwada University after the late Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The agitation, held under the banner of ‘Namantarwadi Kriti Samiti, was held near the statue of Dr. Ambedkar at Bhadkal gate. (Hindu July 28).
