Read it & felt very happy to know that our voice is really a powerful voice which can break the darkness of casteism and enlighten the masses to embrace a neo-society in the dream of Dr B. R. Ambedkar & Mahatma Jotirao Phule. Ours is a troupe of dalit artistes engaged in the same task through the medium of stage, movies, radio etc. We wish to support DV. Our troupe has presented two productions on stage throughout Maharashtra. The first play. “In the womb of darkness’, written by me was appreciated at all levels. It focuses on injustice and atrocities done by the Hindus towards dalits during 32 years of Independence. It’has since been published as a book in Marathi. I like to know any individual who can translate it into South Indian languages as it has interested many South Indians. We are trying to stage our plays on an all India level in Hindi. Stage is a powerful medium through which the message can be passed with great effect. Our troupe recently celebrated here the silver jubilee show of th’s play in April. This is a historical event in the field of stage that dalit stage is celebrating a silver jubilee of a daiit play. DV has to guide and support us.
