DV has taken the right stand that casteism is racism. Caste is more dangerous than racism. The fear that the vaidik-controlled Indian Govt. will not allow non- official delegates to go to the Durban conference called by the United Nations to advocate this point is real. Ms. Savitri Kumari (Kunadi), who represented the Govt. at the Geneva preparatory conference for the Durban meet and defended the govt. stand that casteism is not racism, is the granddaughter of Babu Jagjivan Ram. We condemn this upper caste stooge who was sent to harm Dalits. DV being a journal of international repute can play an important role at this crucial time.
The Govt. of India may send a big delegation to suppress the truth about the widespread racism inside India, but DV alone is enough to defeat the enemy as thousands of Dalits living abroad are ready to convey the right message.
